Black Walnut

Black Walnut enriches both natural and tinted dark shades of hair.

Bladderwrack

Bladderwrack has a natural ability to strengthen hair follicles. It has been found to feed the roots and shafts of hair follicles on the scalp and has been linked to both the thickness and shine that is often associated with healthy looking hair.

Burdock

Burdock enhances stimulation of blood flow, resulting in the prevention of hair loss and stimulation of new hair growth. It can soothe an irritated and itchy scalp and can help eliminate dandruff.

Calendula

Calendula has anti-inflammatory properties and is very useful for soothing an irritated scalp. It also helps make hair soft and supple.

Chamomile

Chamomile has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which gives it a capacity to protect the scalp from infections and damage. Scientific studies have found that a flavonoid found in Chamomile flowers (apigenin), acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine resulting in its soothing and calming properties and its ability to improve a dry, irritated scalp. Chamomile adds shine to the hair.

Ginkgo

The active ingredients in Ginkgo help promote a continuous and healthy growth of hair. It tones the skin and improves microcirculation of the blood supply of the scalp.

Henna

Henna works naturally to condition and accent the hidden highlights of the hair and capture the hidden tones.

Hops

Hops is used for general scalp health and is especially useful for dry, sensitive scalps. It helps remove dandruff and prevents its reappearance. It adds shine and lustre to the hair shaft.

Horsetail

Sweet Orange

Sweet Orange helps to detoxify congested skin and although it is a good general skin tonic, it is great for older more mature skin. It helps sooth dry irritated skin. It supports collagen formation in the skin which is required for a healthy, younger looking skin.

OTHER INGREDIENTS

Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis)

High in Vitamin A, B and E. Acts as an excellent emollient and moisturiser for dry skin. Prevents excessive moisture loss from the skin. Easily absorbed.

Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima)

Valued for its regenerative and moisturising properties the avocado oil gives excellent skin penetration and is rapidly absorbed. High in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants it facilitates the softening of the skin and reduces the incidence of age spots.

Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)

Extracted from the kernel of mature coconuts harvested from the coconut palm. It is highly moisturising, promotes hydration and strengthens brittle nails.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)

Extracted from the nut of the African Shea Tree. Absorbs rapidly into the skin. It has water binding properties giving it excellent moisturising properties. Softens tough and cracked skin and restores elasticity.

Cocoa (Theobroma Cacao)

Extracted from the cocoa bean, it is high in antioxidants. It has excellent moisturising abilities to prevent dry, itch skin and has a velvety texture. Commonly used for stretch marks, especially during pregnancy.

Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa Eglentaria)

Extracted from the hip of the rose (fruit left behind after the rose has bloomed and the petals have fallen). Contains Pro-vitamin A and essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Deeply nourishes and balances all skin types, especially for mature and sun burnt/damaged skin. It is easily absorbed by the skin but won’t leave behind an oily residue.

Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil

Jojoba seed oil is the liquid wax that is produced in the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) plant, a shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California and northwestern Mexico. It is an emollient and has excellent moisturising properties.

Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum Vulgare)

High in Vitamin E, a strong antioxidant and fatty acids, this oil promotes the formation of new skin cells, increases circulation and helps relieve symptoms of dermatitis and skin irritations. It assists healing scar tissue and stretch marks.

Hydrolysed Soy Protein

Hydrolysed Soy Protein is a natural ingredient made from soybeans. It acts as a conditioner, giving body and texture to the hair. The protein becomes attracted to the hair cuticles and forms a protective layer; this then softens and repairs the hair in addition to providing fullness, shine and gloss. It also reduces ‘fly-away’ hair. It is an excellent natural addition to hair care products.

Panthenol – Vitamin B5

When Vitamin B5 is used in hair care products it is readily absorbed into the hair. After making contact with the hair cuticle it penetrates directly into the cortex of the hair. Vitamin B5 provides benefits such as added lustre, long lasting moisturisation and has a conditioning effect resulting in easily manageable hair. It considerably reduces the formation of split ends, serves to repair damaged hair and can thicken undamaged hair by up to 10%.

Tocopheryl – Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an effective anti-oxidant with healing and rejuvenating benefits that help prevent cell damage by neutralising free radicals.

Sodium Chloride

Sea Salt is used at less than 1% as a thickening agent.

Citric Acid

Derived from citrus, Citric Acid is a natural preservative.

Glycerin

Glycerin is 100% derived from vegetable oils. It has excellent humectant qualities in attracting and holding moisture.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Cetearyl Alcohol is a plant derived wax (coconut) that is added to conditioners as a detangling ingredient which helps thicken the conditioners.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Derived from coconut oil this organic compound is an extremely mild and easily biodegradable cleanser. It has natural and safe foaming qualities that gently clean without stripping away the natural oils. It can promote manageability of the hair.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate

Derived from canola oil, this ingredient is the mildest yet most superior detangling ingredient available.

Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium

An organic compound derived from guar gum. It gives conditioning properties to hair care products.

Glyceryl Stearate

Glyceryl Stearate is 100% vegetable derived. It is well known as one of the gentlest and safest emulsifying waxes available. It is used as a natural emollient and thickening agent. It adds thickness, shine and manageability, whilst soothing, softening and protecting the hair.

Dimethiconol

A substance derived from silica it makes hair shiny and slippery.

Cyclomethicone

Antimicrobial agent derived from silica. It is an excellent conditioner, providing improved compatibility, feel and softness while lessening frizz.

Ceteth-20

A fatty alcohol that acts as an emulsifier and cleansing agent.

Caprylyl Glycol

Caprylyl Glycol is a plant derived skin-conditioning agent that is used as a preservative. In addition to its anti-bacterial characteristics, it acts as a humectant that lends moisturisation, emollience and wetting properties to hair care formulations.

Sodium Olefin Sulphonate

Derived from coconut oil it is a gentle cleansing agent.

Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate

A plant derived natural sugar compound, it is a gentle cleanser and mild conditioning surfactant.

Lactic Acid

Is a naturally derived organic compound, often referred to as an alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA’s) it acts as a gentle exfolient and cleanser of the skin. It is biodegradable.

Ethylhexylglycerin

Derived from vegetable glycerine, it is a natural preservative and is indicated as a skin conditioning agent especially useful for dry irritated skin.

Phenoxyethanol

Naturally derived water soluble preservative

Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate

Is a preservative derived from the naturally occurring amino acid, glycine.

Peg-100 Stearate

Plant derived it forms a protective barrier on the surface of the skin helping it to retain moisture. It also acts as an emulsifier.

Sodium Decylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate

A natural sugar compound, it has soothing, smoothing and mild cleansing properties.

Polyquaterium-7

A detangler that adds shine to dry hair.
