1. What makes our products different and better for you?

We make herbal medicines in a factory licensed by the TGA since 1993. The same high quality Certified organic herbs we use in our medicines are used in our shampoo, conditioners and body care range. Our production standards and our ingredients are of a high medicinal standard. We know of no higher.

2. What does Certified Organic mean?

The herbs have been purchased from a farm that has been Certified as Organic by an Organic Certifying body, that is recognized by IFOAM and AQIS.

3. Where do Certified Organic Herbs come from?

To be Certified Organic, herbs have to be grown on a farm that has been inspected, and soil samples proved to be chemical free. These inspections continue every year, with random checks as well, for three years, during which the farm is considered ”under conversion”. Only when the final inspection has been passed are the growers able to use the term Certified Organic for their herbs.

4. Why are genuine organic products gaining in popularity all over the World?

There is a huge increasing demand around the World for genuine natural products. People are seeking ways to improve their health and wellbeing. Some countries including Australia have no restraints on the use of the words, natural, organic pure etc. Consumers are becoming more informed and angry when they find out that product labels are misleading and they have not been told the truth. However no one can say their products contain “Certified Organic herbs “unless they do. A check can easily be made to confirm the truth of this claim. Certification bodies demand a clear paper trail, right back to the farmer on every batch and every product we make.

5. What harm do “chemicals”do to you?

Would you pour dangerous chemicals all over your body if you had a choice? The chemicals in your hair shampoo are absorbed little by little into your skin, year in and year out. Look at the success of nicotine and HRT skin patches to see how easily things can enter your system via your skin. It is the largest organ of your body and it takes in some of whatever you put on it every day of your life, from birth to death. Check out the labels on what you are using now.

If you see Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS) or, Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) – don’t buy those products, these chemicals are used as industrial cleaners, and can do potential damage to eyes, skin, hair and can trigger life threatening complaints.

Propylene Glycol is another commonly used chemical. It is used to keep products from drying out – a list of possible side effects includes dermatitis, kidney and liver damage, interference with healthy cell growth.
The above are just 3 of a long list of commonly used chemicals, by other manufacturers.

OUR ORGANIC HAIRCARE RANGE DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY OF THOSE DANGEROUS CHEMICALS

6. Why are NASAA and BFA important to you?

They are the only Organic Certifying bodies at present in Australia recognized by the overall World body IFOAM and accepted by AQIS, who control what comes into and goes out of Australia. Essential credentials for exporters.

7. What quality control systems do we use?

The same high standard GMP, (Good Manufacturing Practice) system which is regulated by the Government body, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).We follow this system to make our herbal medicines as well as in the manufacturing of our shampoos. We believe what you use on the outside of your body is just as important as what goes into it.

8. How can we keep our organic prices so low?

There are two reasons why our prices are as low as they are.

Firstly, we have been buying organic herbs for 10 years and buy in bulk so prices to us are lower.

Secondly, as we are the original manufacturers, there is one less profit margin to be paid before the product reaches the consumer.
